The 16th annual US Open Forklift Rodeo & Safety expo has been cancelled. According to Springfield Clark County Safety Council president Kristina Downing, Safety Council and Forklift Rodeo founder Colonel Dick Higgins continues to recover from an accident earlier this year. The 16th annual US Open Forklift Rodeo & Safety expo was scheduled for October in Springfield, Ohio. Last year’s competition set a participation record. Thirty-two teams and a total of 66 forklift operators participated. It is expected the event will resume in 2012.
